Remove Extra Spaces
Copied text often carries extra spaces, repeated blank lines, uneven indentation, or spacing from PDFs, emails, spreadsheets, and rich text editors. Cleaning those spaces makes the text easier to paste, count, compare, and publish.
Use the Text Cleaner to normalize spacing and blank lines. It is useful before submitting forms, importing lists, publishing web copy, or running a word count.
Common spacing problems
- Multiple spaces between words.
- Blank lines copied between every paragraph.
- Spaces before or after line breaks.
- Lists copied from spreadsheets with inconsistent spacing.
Simple cleanup workflow
Paste the messy text, clean the spacing, then review the result before replacing your source. If the text is a list where each line should be unique, use the Duplicate Line Remover after cleaning spaces.
After cleanup, open the Word Counter or Character Counter to check the final length.
